Research FundingGroup Health Center for Health Studies has an annual budget of about $20 million and receives more than 90 percent of its funds from research grants and contracts. All direct research costs are funded by sources outside of Group Health. Major funding sources, past and present, include federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and foundations such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Group Health Community Foundation. The Center's non-direct administrative and facilities research costs are funded by indirect revenues recovered as part of research grants, and by an annual Group Health allocation.
